SWITCHING FREQUENCY MODULATION FOR MAXIMUM POWER POINT TRACKING TECHNIQUE OF PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS
Keywords:

This paper presents a maximum power point tracking technique using switching frequency modulation. The solar panel is connected to dc-dc converter which either may be Ćuk or SEPIC converter operating in discontinuous inductor current mode.
A small-signal sinusoidal perturbation is injected into the switching frequency and the result is compared with the average value of the panel terminal voltage and the ac components variation of the input voltage. With this procedure the maximum power point can then be located. Simulation results were given to validate the accuracy of the analysis.
