MODELLING THE NIGERIAN POWER SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC GENERATION CONTROL PART II: SIMULATION STUDIES OF THE POWER PLANT RESPONSE
Abstract
In this second part of the two part serial experimentation on the derived models with standard test signals is carried out. The aim is to compare the plant response under different operating conditions. The effects of the non-linearities mentioned in part one on the plant response are exposed. Finally integral control action is imposed on the model and several operating conditions simulated to show the inadequacy of the integral controller especially under wide variations of frequency.
