PARAMETER DETERMINATION OF A SINGLE-PHASE SYNCHRONOUS RELUCTANCE MOTOR FROM TESTS

A test procedure for determining the parameters of a single-phase synchronous reluctance motor is presented. By applying the principle of harmonic balance, a set of non-linear simultaneous equations, capable of yielding all the parameters of single-phase reluctance motor from test results are obtained. Values of axes inductances obtained from measurements are validated by finite element (FE) simulations and it is observed that there is a correlation between the measured and simulation results.
